I ended up with the bike in December as part of a trade with the raffle winner. It was not running and needed new plugs, and Brand New "Anti Gravity" Battery, with new Lithium Ion Charger, a new carburetor and fuel lines and we removed the electronic ignition and put it back into Points per request of Wendel Turner.  It also had the drivetrain checked out and cleaned as well over a good go over from Jim Comried of JC  Cycle Shop in Cedar Rapids Iowa. Jim really knows his bikes<br /><br />The bike runs great and starts in a split second with the electric start. There is no manual start, runs through the gears just fine. Solo custom made saddle with springs, a "Pauchco" Rigid Frame, S and S Brand New Carb, custom powder coat paint with gold flake accents, custom made oil "Can" to look like twisted tea can, a really neat custom made gas tank with outside fuel line indicating fuel level.<br /><br />NOTE: there are no front brakes no turn signals and no speedometer. Wild at heart just like the souls who built this bike. The details for the 2007 Ducati Sport Classic 1000 are as follows.<br /><br />It has a clean and clear title. The bike currently has 6502 miles. It is a biposto (two seater) the rear painted tail piece is removable by 4 screws.<br /><br />Recent maintanence done is as follows:<br /><br />On 10/05/15 I paid Moto Sports Ducati out of Des Moines, IA to repair the bike because a clamp came loose that holds the fuel line to the fuel filter and the bike wasn't getting fuel. At that time I also did a few other things. New rear tire (what it had when new) and tube (just ordered them then and had them installed in the spring. New cam belt, which are very important to have in good shape. Fuel filter, Motul 300V oil, also had the kickstand bolt come loose and fall out so they helped get the correct bolt and repair it as well. This trip was $904.83.<br /><br />On 03/12/16 I took it to Moto Sports Ducati again. This time I got a spare key since it didn't come with one. A new thermostat switch. Installed the rear tire for $260.65<br /><br />Current Aftermaket Parts are as follows:<br /><br />-Rizoma Sport grips (anodized aluminum in black) $58.90. <br />-Rizoma timing belt cover (which has a clear lense so you can see the cam belts move) $325.85. <br />-Rizoma bar end mirrors 294.50. <br />-Rizoma bar end mirror adapters $19. <br />-This run of accessories cost $740.16<br /><br />-The Fleda LED tail light kit that the bike has on it is a $399.00 tail light/ fender eliminator kit. This was on the bike when I purchased it.<br /><br />-Most recently I got a full one off Titanium exhaust made by Randy Martin at StradaFab. The exhaust took 8 months or longer to get. There are few options out there for exhaust since the bike was only made for 3 years. I wasn't liking most of the aftermarket exhausts that I was seeing out there and most of them were the same price as building your own through Stradafab. Randy hand welded every bend on the exhaust. For now I took the old 02 sensor out of the old exhaust and zip tied it up since it wouldn't fit the new exhaust. I was going to get an adapter or an 02 delete kit. Randy said he would make the exhaust fit the factory 02 sensor if I shipped the piece of exhaust to him if I needed him to. Strada Fab exhaust cost $2,200<br /><br />-Also I have the bar end mirrors off of the bike currently but they can easily be put back on. It has Rizoma bar end caps and no mirrors currently.<br /><br />- The bike could use a new fuel tank. When I purchased it, it was expanded but not badly. Sport Classics had an issue with ethonal fuel eating away the glue on the inside of the tank. I got a quote from Ducati of Des Moines that a new already painted one would be $500.00 There is no vibration in the tank either.
